At the invitation of the Organization for Health Tourism in Iran, Ambassador was invited to participate in a press conference on the occasion of the upcoming "4. International Health Congress of Islamic Countries ". Regardless of the fact that Serbia is not from this group of countries, the President of the Clinic of Medical and Health Tourism of Serbia and representative of Merkur from Vrnjacka Banja Miodrag Miljkovic, who took part in the 3rd Congress, signed the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Iran in this area, so this call was a continuation of the desire of the Iranian side for cooperation with Serbia in the field of health and tourism in general.
The hosts and Ambassador responded to journalists questions. When asked about the possibilities of cooperation between Serbia and Iran and the capacities of our country for this type of tourism, he emphasized that this cooperation was initiated by the engagement of the President of the Cluster of Serbia M. Miljkovic, who last year established numerous contacts during his stay in Teheran and that he himself is a representative of an institution that is well known for highly developed health tourism. Ambassador stressed that the cooperation should continue, because there are all conditions for this. Serbia has a large number of similar health institutions and is ready to receive guests from Iran and from all other Islamic countries. He also spoke about other tourist capacities and potentials of Serbia and pointed out that the beginning of the new way of departure of Iranian tourists to Serbia, which would include the route Greece-Bulgaria-Romania-Serbia, is just preparing.
