The Congress on Health Tourism was held in Tehran. Although it is a Congress that primarily concerns Islamic countries, representatives from Serbia have been invited to participate as they did last year. The President of the Health Tourism Cluster of Serbia, Miodrag Miljkovic, and the director of Merkur from Vrnjacka Banja, Dr. Dejan Stanojevic, had a very remarkable presentation on spa tourism in Serbia and especially in Vrnjacka Banja. Media interest was high and news of the congress and our activities were published in several Iranian media. Ambassador Dragan Todorovic, inter alia, gave a statement to the state news agency IRNA. He explained that our representatives are already participating, although Serbia is not an Islamic country, but Iran is a friendly country and there is a great interest in cooperation in the field of health tourism. He stressed that Serbia has developed spa tourism and that concrete cooperation in the sector will be established in the coming period.
