The visit of the Mayor of Belgrade to Tehran

Delegation of the City of Belgrade, led by the Mayor Siniša Mali, paid a visit to Tehran from 8 to 11 September 2016. On that occasion, Siniša Mali and the Mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, have signed Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between Belgrade and Tehran in the field of culture, social issues, in the technical and economic field.


President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on 16-17 April 2016.

President of the Republic of Serbia Tomislav Nikolic paid a working visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran on 16-17 April 2016. During his stay in Tehran, President T. Nikolić has held talks with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Vice President for Science and Technology Dr. Soren Sattari and had a meeting with the Mayor of Tehran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. He gave a speech at the opening ceremony of the 5th International Symposium of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Associates, also attended by Serbian specialists.

President of Serbia visited the museum Golestan, who was once a royal palace. It accommodates a part of the treasury of the Persian Empire and as such is on the UNESCO list of world heritage. On that occasion, there was a ceremony to mark the International Day of Monuments and Sites (18 April), including the release of doves of peace.
